Air Usage Calculator

Surface Equivalent Rate:

Input the starting air pressure, the air pressure at the end of the dive, the depth and bottom time of the dive. This will calculate your equivalent air usage at the surface.

Note, you can input Air Used in place of Air Start and Air Stop.

Example, Air Start = 3000 PSI, Air Stop = 500, this calculates your Air Used at 2500. Depth = 45 feet, Total Bottom Time = 50 minutes. Your estimated Surface Equivalent Rate = 21.2 PSI per Minute.

Scuba Diving Air Consumption Calculator

Dive Plan Rate:

Input the planned depth for the next dive. This will calculate the Estimated Diving Time that your air will last.

Note, this is not how long you can stay at that depth due to Nitrogen levels!

Example, Planned Depth = 90 feet, Your Estimated Diving Time (for your air usage) = 27.9 minutes.

Determine how long your air should last on
the next Scuba Dive.

Scuba Diving Air Consumption Calculator is an app that allows you to input past dive(es) air, depth, & bottom time information to calculate your air consumption Surface Equivalent Rate.

Then you can input the depth of your next planned dive and it will calculate your air consumption Estimated Diving Time (how long your air should last).

The <Save> button can be toggled back and forth between <Save> and <Recall>. This is accomplished by long pressing the <Save> / <Recall> button.

Features:

The <Save> button can be toggled back and forth between <Save> and <Recall>. This is accomplished by long pressing the <Save> / <Recall> button.

Air Surface Equivalent Rate can be saved so it can be used at later. Additional dives and be calculated for the Surface Equivalent Rate, then when <Save> is pressed it will average with the previously stored air consumption Surface Equivalent Rate. This allows you to average multiple dives air consumption Surface Equivalent Rate.

  Imperial (English) / Metric:
Set the app to use either Imperial (English) or Metric units.

 Set Est Air Usage:
The amount of air you plan on using for you next dive. The app defaults to 2200 PSI. This is based on 3000 PSI starting pressure then subtract 800 PSI target ending pressure. This number can be changed for different estimates depending on the type of dive you are planning.

 Clear Stored Values:
Clears the stored air consumption Surface Equivalent Rate.

 Clear Screen:
Clears the inputted data from the screen.
